Clare's Allotment

photos February 2008

Photos taken on the 17th February:

The bed for the onions (Centurion and Red Baron) is being prepared. As is the bed for the first early potatoes (Arran Pilot).
When we arrived the tulips were covered in frost. Two hours later, let's hope the frost hasn't left any damage.
The daffodils are out! And here are some more.
And some more. Ok, these are the same ones as above!
This bed is going to be planted with perennials. This is the lavender bed looking a bit scary but the chippings will soon fade.
Views of the allotment in general. From the front - brassica bed, first early bed and onion bed. The bed in front of the greenhouse is for our Jumbo Pink Banana squash.
The back bed (to the left) will be for peas & beans, the centre bed for second earlies (Picasso), and the bed to the left for sweetcorn and courgette. The sweetcorn & courgette bed again (left), while the right hand bed will be for second earlies (Kestrel).
The flower bed in the corner.
